HONORED to be mentioned, and you're spot on with every single one of these strategies. The student has become the teacher ;)

Ok fine, I'm taking the plunge on Substack! It's my time to bring back the glory days of Blogger and Wordpress that millennials like me got started in, all hail long-form!

Understanding a platform before going all in is a non-negotiable. People be wasting so many hours doing the wrong thing only to get frustrated and leave

100% I did the same with YouTube, it's just a lot harder to keep up with video production cadence. I am coming back for her, though 👀

The "give before you take" thing is so, so important. It blows my mind how many large creators from other platforms come on here put a paywall up, don't follow any other writers or engage with the Substack community and then moan about stagnant growth!

Agreed! People are sick of paying for things, so you're always going to have a stronger paid audience base if you actually deliver value for many months before you even consider making them pay for things.

This was such a useful post! Encouraging that you can pick content categories that don't necessarily fit together too. I love your stuff!
